RIP Chadwick Boseman

It’s been a month since the loss of Chadwick Boseman and The PDX Black Excellence Family is heartbroken. His life and work had a foundational impact on our organization: it was in congregation to watch his groundbreaking portrayal of Black Panther in 2018 that PDXBE was humbly born.

We are living in a time where death can feel closer than ever before—particularly to at-risk communities like ours. And while no single life should be mourned less or more than another, Boseman is a reminder that now more than ever, we must be the heroes we wish to see.
